    Erm... http://www.asp-net.com/ actually ;)

Available from www.gunaccessories.com, who will ship to Ireland, though it might be as well to ask them about these before ordering.

As far as I know Brownells also have a version called the Blue Gun , if the value exceeds $100.00 they will not ship.

would one of the airsoft toys not be of use for a training aid

they seem like a lump of very expensive plastic

or even a blank firer but they're a bit of a grey area

Cut out a bit of MDF in the shape of the gun and paint it whatever
colour ya want rather than going to the trouble of buying a dummy gun.

You should also check out the sports stores/Martial Arts suppliers.
I saw a rubber/plastic gun and Knife set before for people training
in martial arts/self defense in my local store but they dont stock them
    any more.

Not since the CJA, they're firearms now, plain and simple.

It's a bill until it passes the Oireachtas, then it's an act.

So its not law just yet as its a bill? Its only law when passed as an act? So are blank fire replicas still in the gray area?

    Cheers!

As I understand it, it's passed, and it's an act now, blank firers need firearm certificates.
