Will taxes be affected??

    Hi this may be a stupid uestion but please take it seriously.I am working full time and iwant to open an online store.BUt when i register it will it affect my current rate of tax in my job??i would prefer to keep my business venture private from my boss but will the taxman contact him when i register a business or if i make money from it??

    register a company or register as a sole trader

    Your employer will not find out that you are earning extra money. From a tax point of view the money you earn as a sole trader is added to your PAYE income and tax is calculated using that.
