Possible UEFA Cup dates

    Assuming we make it past the 1st Round, here are the possible dates for group games and the likely affected domestic ties:

    Thurs 20 Sept UC 1st Rd 1st Leg
    Sat 22 Sept PL Bolton (A)

    Thurs 4 Oct UC 1st Rd 2nd Leg
    Sat 6 Oct PL Liverpool (A)

    Thurs 25 Oct UC Group Matchday 1
    Sat 27 Oct PL Blackburn (H)

    Thurs 8 Nov UC Group Matchday 2
    Sat 10 Nov PL Wigan (H)

    Thurs 29 Nov UC Group Matchday 3
    Sat 1 Dec PL Birmingham (H)

    Weds/Thurs 5/6 Dec UC Group Matchday 4
    Sat 8 Dec PL Man City (H)

    Weds/Thurs 19/20 Dec UC Group Matchday 5
    Weds 19 Dec Carling Cup Rd 5
    Sat 22 Dec PL Arsenal (A)

    If last season was anything to go by, all of our group will be on Thursdays, followed by a domestic game on the Sunday, so expect changes.

    I'm also putting 2+2 together and hopefully coming up with 4, but the potential clash with Matchday 5 and the Carling Cup 5th Rd will probably mean all English sides will be placed in the group so that they play Matchdays 1-4. I'm basing that on the fact that the previous 3 midweeks will involve possible clashes with CL ties.
