Phantom on DAB - distorted?!

    Hi,

    I'm listening to Phantom on DAB Digital Radio - The sound quality is perfect on all of the other stations in the same multiplex. But it's dire on Phantom it sounds all distorted and like it's being 'over processed' or something.

    I'm getting 100% signal strength and 100% signal quality so it's not my receiver or my reception. It sounds like it's the feed from Phantom to the DAB system.

    Any chance someone could take a look into it?

    I'm in the Dublin 4 area.

    Hi Solair,

    Thanks for the posting. Ive been monitoring our DAB transmission today and haven't noticed any distortion at all. We had an OB this evening which would have meant brief periods from an outside link, but listening now (23.10) it sounds fine. Are you getting distortion all the time or just on occasion? Is it more on voice than music? The signal takes a pretty complicated path to get to the DAB Transmitter in the correct format so we will have to track it down stage by stage!
