Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Contact Cleaner Question: Is my phone a goner?

I borrowed some contact cleaner to try & sort out the temperamental joystick on my SE K700i.

After spraying it around the joystick I noticed the contact cleaner was staying on the phone.
I had thought contact cleaner evaporates, preventing it from damaging the phone when it is powered up.

That was 5 hours ago and the contact cleaner is still there.

Will my phone be a write off if I try to turn it on now?

    cheers

Try and wipe it out with a dry cloth - tissue if possible -then keep the phone turned face down overnight. This will be the best chance of getting it all out. I did something similar a few years ago (at the time I was completely ignorant about phones) but learnt very quickly when my phone made buzzing noises when I turned it back on! The joysticks are usually seales away from the contacts underneath the keypad, but keep it face down overnight just in case
