Lunar Disko 1st B'day - Mr. Pauli & I-G Info

20-06-2007 2:44am#1To celebrate 1 year @ The Underground, Kennedys this coming July, Lunar Disko will be presenting two Dutch electro masters. Mr. Pauli , currently one of our favourite producers alongside our favourite DJ, Intergalactic Gary. Both hailing from The Hague, these two lads are sure to rock this party right come July 7th!
Mr. Pauli Biog. :
Growing up in the 80's in The Hague saw Mr Pauli aka Ingmar Pauli grow a passion for the Italo disco sound. It is probably rammed in his subconciousness forever due to the constant radio playtime that Italo-Disco got back in the 80's in The Hague.
After learning how to mix, Pauli soon turned his attention towards producing music. It was soon after Dj Overdose bought his first SP-12 that it really emerged to Mr Pauli that music production was all he wanted to do. Encouraged by the very fast producing and releasing of 12"s by Roland Klinkenberg (whom he shared a house with at that time) and because he finally managed to actually finish some songs, and not just fiddle along for days and months with beats and a Roland Juno 106 that by that time had added to his set up.
It was in 1996 that Ingmar Pauli released his first record. After three follow ups, he started working with Dj Overdose again. In 1998 they crowned themselves NOVAMEN, and in 1999 debuted on I-f's Murdercapital records. They last released there fifth EP in 2006 on Viewlexx and with the CBS superhit ' Lies ' close to being released on Viewlexx are very much still rocking the electro planet!
In 1999 Pauli also met a producer called Geoffrey T, who seemed to share his love for 80's drummachine-funk from the likes of Zapp, Prince, and Cameo etc. They formed a project called Bumper and have bumpy-bassline-vocodered themselves through life ever since. They debuted on the Californian label MDEX in 2004, and are still dropping jams with recent remixes from the Pigna crew of Marco Passarani, Francisco, and Raiders of the Lost Arp.
Around 2002 original Miami bass bending Dj Technician, a friend for close to 20 years, decided to share their passion for Italo with the world, they formed the Hague Cocadisco project Matzo & Pauli and debuted in 2004 on VIEWLEXX. The follow up 12" is scheduled for release in late 2007 on Murdercapital.
So in September 2006 the first Mr Pauli EP was released on Viewlexx, thanks to close friend Alden Tyrell who applied some amazing mastering black magic techniques, to convert the tracks onto vinyl. It is also Mr Tyrell who rearranged and updated his track ' Little ' that got released on Clone records under the name Pauli & Tyrell in late 2005.
There is definitely alot more to come from the mind of this versatile electro producer over the coming years....

Intergalactic Gary Biog :
Intergalactic Gary was born in Wellington, New Zealand before moving to The Netherlands, where he also grew up in The Hague. He started mixing around 1980 after being influenced by the (Italo) disco scene in The Hague. His professional DJ career started in 1990 with squat and club parties in The Hague. Later I-G got an installment in LA D.S. club in 1992 until 1996 to DJ weekly House, Garage & Disco on Sunday nights.
Ever since 1994 he was a weekly guest DJ for regional pirate radio stations together with I-f and crew. (Trend FM, Radical Radio) . Since 1999 till now he has been active as DJ in the European clubcircuit (Fabric London, Panorama Bar Berlin, Lolita Barcelona, Paard Den Haag, Melkweg Amsterdam, Moscow, Dublin , Glasgow, Madrid, Geneva, Munich etc.)
His first record was produced in 1994 as Silverstream for I-F's TS records (TS-004)
He then progressed to form The Parallax Corporation together with I-F in 1998 and produced the clubhit 'Lift Off (Viewlexx V12/5) followed up by the Cocadisco series (Viewlexx V12/10, V12/11, V12/12 & V12/16) The Cocadisco Album (2-LP/CD) later appeared on Disko B. I-G was also involved in The Parallax Corporation remix for Jolly Music's-Radio Jolly (Sony) Adult.'s-Hand to Phone (Clone), Ganymed's-Music Takes Me Higher (Sabotage) and Japanese Telecom remix on Detroit's Intuit Solar Records. Last vinyl production was as The Conservatives (2003) together with I-F.
And since the first days (2002) of the now hugely popular Cybernetic Broadcasting System (www.CBS.nu) he has been a regular mix provider, mixes including obscure italo gems to jackin Chi-town trax and early electro jams which have now become legendary on the CBS.
