    Hi,

    I have an 8800GTS and whenever I play BF2 everything is bright yellow, no textures, and it runs at about 5 frames a second, I've tried reinstalling and using different drivers and its the same. I've looked it up online and found a few people complaining about it (mostly GTX users though) but no solution yet. Anybody have any idea, or encountered it, because if I now can't play BF2, one of the only 2 games I play, the 8800 is coming back out...:mad:

    Is it only BF2 ??

    If other 3D is affected e.g 3DMark06 then you might have a damaged part on your hands or the PSU is not delivering the juice (which is about the only thing you can test for in that situation).

    No, solely BF2. I can run Vegas, Company of Heroes etc all fine. Here's an example: No HUD, nothing. Just yellow. And it runs about 5fps about 20 seconds after I start. When I try and quit the whole machine locks up.

    Just a few examples there of others having problems. Mostly with 8800GTX but some 8800gts and the odd 8500/8600 card. :(

    Does it happen with AA enabled or disabled ?

    What you could do is install nHancer and tweak the BF2 profile, maybe a setting might work or correct the bug.

    On the BF2 profile go to the optimizations tab and tick the box under "Texture Filtering" for high quality.

    Under "Trilinar optimization" & Aniso optimization" tick box boxes so they are disabled, HQ auto disables these but just to be sure.

    Optinally try tick the box for "negative LOD Bios" & clamp

    Strangely whenever I click on bf2 in the control panel to create a custom profile it it just crashes. I tried re-installing and same thing....

    In NVIDIA's own control panel profile edit or in nHancer ?

    Have you got .NET 2.0 installed it is needed for nHancer. Also nHancer has the option to wipe out the exiting profiles and restore them so that is worth a go from the Profile->Restore original driver profiles.

    Finally new drivers out as well 162.15;
    32-bit XP
    32-bit Vista
    64-bit Vista
