    hey

    basically im converting dec 2 bin which works fine:
    0 = 0; 2 = 10 and so on

    but then im putting the binary numbers into a matrices but it will not allow me to do this as all rows must have same number of columns

    so basically i want to know how to show say decimal number 12 (=1100) as 00001100 as the 1st four 0's are not displayed when converted?

    thanks

    figured it out... pretty simple really :o

    dec2bin(decimal_value,binary_size)

    e.g. dec2bin(12,8) gives 00001100
