Try postiong in the help desk. After a certain time, your thread can only be deleted by the mod of the forum it is in. SMods and Admins can also delete them.

Once the thread has been replied to then you won't be able to delete it, a moderator of the forum in question might be able to help though.

As a rule, threads generally won't be deleted without good reason. If it's a case of you simply not wanting someone to see what you've posted, that's not really a good enough reason.
