    Vodafone Romania launches fixed-line phone service


    Vodafone Romania has launched fixed-line phone services for consumers through the Vodafone Home offering. The Vodafone Acasa services are available across Romania in all areas covered by its GSM network. Vodafone fixed voice numbers have the prefix 0372, followed by 6 figures, and are accessible from all major national networks, mobile and fixed. Customers using both Vodafone mobile and fixed services will receive a single bill. Vodafone at Home 75+ costs USD 7 a month and offers 75 minutes of free calls in Vodafone fixed line network and 75 minutes for free calls to other national fixed line networks; Vodafone at Home 150+ costs USD 10 a month and offers includes 150 minutes of free calls in Vodafone fixed line network and 150 minutes for free calls towards other national fixed line networks, each month; Vodafone at Home Favourite Hours costs USD 10 a month and offers 300 minutes of free in Vodafone fixed network and 300 minutes of free calls to other national fixed line network at off-peak times. The basic package without free minutes costs USD 4 a month.

    That is actually kind of pricey for a fixed line: in Germany, O2 offers a landline anywhere they have GSM or 3G coverage for €0 a month, including a landline number on your phone, and €10 a month with unlimited local and national calls as well as unlimited calls to other O2 customers.
