Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Unfortunatly there is no such thing as a cosmetic dentist. If you want someone with specialist training go to a prosthodontist who will have a minimum of three years postgraduate training in all cosmetic and tooth replacement treatments. Anyone calling themselves a cosmetic dentist tend to have little else than a few part time courses under their belt at best. You are going to pay big bucks for these treatments so get somebody who is well qualified or comes highly reccomended but preferable both.

If you wish to see a specialist ask you general dentist for a referral and to recommendations just like you would ask your family doctor for a referral to see a consultant doctor or surgeon. The qualifications can be confusing however a masters degree, doctorate or PhD usually signify somebody with specialist qualifications. Unfortunately the dental council of Ireland only have a specialist register for oral surgeons and orthodontists. Many general dentists are capable of preforming complex treatments also.
