not many to choose from tbh but in addition to your list:

fibbers on parnel street if you can stomach the drink.

the flowing tide on abbey street

    the oak on dame street

    bruxells just off grafton street

    the village on wexford street

    voodoo lounge on the quays

in most of these it depends who controls the juke box or what bands are on that particular night but enough alternative heads to keep you safe from chart music anyway.

porter house has nice drink and sometimes a decent guitar based act playing. wouldn't class it as a rock / indie bar but not near as bad as the rest of temple bar.

Downstairs only, there's no music upstairs and you'll rapidly get sick of the football!
