Recently our phone line got replaced by Eircom because it had cracked from old age. From around then my download speeds has been pretty poor, before that I would get a completely solid 320kb/s now its constantly up and down and I have tried multiple sites and computers in the house. I have the 3mb package with BT and I know there are few BT issues with contention lately too so I'm trying to rule out if it's the exchange or my phone line. Before the line got replaced it was really thick copper cable it is now thin copper cable so maybe this would affect the BB? Could someone please take a look at my stats below. Cheers.

I'm to sure what to make of those stats's so i cant comment.

I would say that make sure all your phone sockets, Sky and if you have eircom phonewatch are filterd, no extension leads either. Are you connecting into your main socket? if not i would advise that you connect it to your main socket and your should get a 3028/384 for a 3MB.

Broadband is connected directly into main socket nothing else attached makes no difference at all. I can get 320kb/s in bursts a few secs then drops completely to slower speeds.
