    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

I don't think Mike intended this to be a guess my car thread, but yours is an Alfa, OKenora, isn't it? Looks familiar enough (156?) and rev limit is lowish. So a diesel. 2.4 JTD me hopes? :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 675 ✭✭✭OKenora

Spot on, 2.4 JTD with a little messing about done, re-map, stainless exhaust, BMC CDA etc etc....

    Plenty of pics here

I'm no fan of that spoiler, but that fantastic diesel engine + re-map in a 156 is one of the best value for money offers ever second hand :D

Most people don't know but that's the first common rail diesel engine ever. That engine started the diesel revolution. The most significant thing that has happened in car engines in decades!

Well at the moment with the Porsche eating money and me trying to save some cash for a 300ZX there's not a lot left for the alfa (especially bodywork). So removing the spoiler would mean 6 holes in the bootlid and a very wet DVD system, not good :) As you say, the engine is fantastic, about 200bhp out of it now after tuning on a rolling road by Monza Motorsport in the UK. Yes the WRX type drivers can pull away but the look they give you when they realise it's a diesel out accelerating them is priceless.

I'll have to wait till its dark to get some of my current car's interior, but here's the old one:

After a bit of googling - i'll agree with JoeA3 - Fiesta or perhaps a Mazda 121 - never been in one - dont know if the dash is the same!!
