Hi, I have a 4 year old Inspiron 5100 and a 32" Widescreen Standard Def TV. As far as I can tell theres an S-Video socket on the laptop. Is this what I can use to connect it to my TV?

What would the quality be like?

    Cheers in advance lads.

Sorry mods, posted in laptops too, only spotted this forum after I had pasted there.

s-video will do the trick yes, it'll be fine for watching a movie but not too great for internet or general computer use.

Cheers. How much should I be paying for it?

You should remember that s-video will only transfer the video you need another wire to transfer the sound.
