Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Installing single drive on SATA/RAID chipset

This is related to the problem I mentioned at the end of my other thread. I'm just using a single ATA133 200 GB hard drive in a rebuild of the pc. I've raid and sata disabled in the bios but there seems to be some issues with the XP install. Win32k bluescreens and also, even though I used an SP2 slipstreamed CD, setup only recognises 137 GB.

Could someone tell me if I need to install SATA/RAID drivers for my setup anyway? It's an Nforce 4 Ultra chipset.

    Win32K ? Do you mean Win2K?

As for XP something sounds wrong alright in SP2 was correctly slipstreamed into the CD then the full amount should be seen by the XP installer when you are given the option to format.

Did by any chance you create a partition & format it before that as that might expalin it.

Drivers should not be an issue they are not needed for IDE ATA drives under XP, same for SATA drives as well.

Did you check the jumper settings on the Hard drive sometimes if the jumpers are wrong it shows the drive smaller

Agreed. It must be a bad slip-steamed CD. Worth burning another one if you have the time.
