Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Folks, A friend of mine got LastMile broadband installed in his house recently. They installed an Airspan Terminal connector and hooked him up with rj45 cable to laptop which seems to work fine.

Now he wants to use wireless so he has bought a Bufalo WHR=G54S router from his local IT shop in Athlone and he wants me to help set it up for him as he is not tech savvy. I was just wondering if anyone had any experince of setting up these wireless routers to connect with last mile?

    Cheers

If its anything like IrishBroadband then it'll be straight forward enough. I don't know if Last Mile use Static IP's. I don't think they do.

Just follow the instructions from the manual and ask him for the login details from LastMile.

Use WPA as it's more secure. Not all cards support WPA but if his wireless card is fairly new then it will.

    Yeah we use WPA Personel.

passkey should contain at least one number.

Thanks for that lads, I got it setup and working but I had one problem - I turned off SSID broadcast on the router and I couldn't copnnect to the Internet as couldn't find WI-FI network. I had to go into manage wireless connection click, right click the connection and tick the box called trun on network if ssid is not broadcasting which allowed me to then log into the router and turn on enabling ssid broadcasting. I would still like to turn off SSID broadcasting but am I missing somehting here?
