Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

Just wondering, How much would you spend on getting your hair done?

My lovely lovely girlfriends birthday is coming up and she has mentioned that she would like to get her hair done.

So I was thinking I would get her a Peter Mark gift card or something as part of her pressie, the only thing is, I have no idea how much it should cost!!

So if you have any advice for me (or any gift suggestions!) it would be greatly appreciated!

    Bye

Prices vary depending on the store. You're probably best visiting your local one and looking at their price list.

it also depends on what she wants done - cut, blowdry, full colour, highlights, lenght of hair - did she describe what she wants done and then we could may be give you a guide price? Or you could ring them directly and ask them how much it is going to be based on your description? It really does depend tho on what she wants done!

Edit - just for a rough estimate for you - I get a half head of highlights, cut and blowdry and it can range from €110 to €130 ***hope you haven't passed out!!

WHAT!?!? 130 euro?? the last time I got my hair cut it cost me 7 euro!!

    Ah well,

No she didnt say what she wanted to get done, she just said 'I have to get my hair done'

So, me being low on gift ideas I thought I'd go for something in that area. Im assuming she wants to get it cut though.. and blow dried... and coulored.... Hmm.. Looks like Im gonna be low on cash for the next while!!;)

I know scary prices to keep us looking good :p Every bf I have ever had nearly passes out when they find out how much it is to keep hair coloured!!!

I would ring them and ask for a ball park figure - if you gf has one colour in her hair she gets a semi-permanent or permanent in her hair - if she just has a few strands of colour or several different colours (more common for blonds) then she has highlights (easy meche) - just thought this might be helpful so you know what you are asking them for when you are getting a quote for the gift voucher!!!

Got a wash cut and blowdry a few weeks back in there- €50, your best bet is just to get one for about 120, if she doesnt get a colour sure she can use whats left next time she needs a haircut

I got full head highlights, cut and blowdry and it was €160 in peter mark grafton street. It does take 4 hours but they are super expensive anyway. Best get it for about 100 or so.
