Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all... I thought this information might be interesting to some of you thinking about getting the N95 from O2.

    I was just chatting to the O2 store in Naas (also got these figures confirmed by the O2 store in Newbridge). The cost of the N95 with various upgrade options is as follows;

    Silver upgrade €499
    Bonus/Gold upgrade €449
    Advantage/Platinum upgrade €399
    Diamond upgrade €199

The cost of the phone with no upgrade options is €784

I'm due a Diamond upgrade... slightly disappointed the phone is still gonna cost me €199... thought it might be cheaper...

As a matter of interest, how much do you have to spend to be eligible for the Diamond Upgrade?
I'm entitled to the Platinum upgrade since about 3 months ago and I'm wondering if i should hold out on the upgrade to get to the next level.....

In fairness, €200 ain't exactly a bad price.

€199 is a great price for this phone. Bear in mind that it would cost you close to a grand unsubsidised.

I suppose €199 isn't too bad to be honest... thats a fair bit of technology for the price. How does O2's pricing compare to Vodafone?

Caster I'm not sure what constitutes a Diamond upgrade as opposed to Platinum. I just know that my phone bills have averaged about €250 - €300 over the last year. Might be worth phoning O2 customer care and waiting for Diamond if your close to it?

If you think 199 is expensive for a n95.I dont think you know what you are getting for that price. If you want something free just get the ancient 3100 or something that end.

Sorry I don't know much about bill phones but if you get the diamond upgrade will you still be paying the same amount each month as you were or do you have to pay more each month?

The upgrade renews your contract to 12 months again but doesn't effect your exiting price plan unless you request a change.

As for those prices above for the n95 - I'm pretty sure it's €399 on a Silver upgrade when I checked for my upgrade today, I'll have to check again tomorrow to confirm.

I know exactly what I'm getting with the N95.

I didnt say I wanted something free... just saying that I was slightly disappointed that O2's pricing policies were still making me pay €199.

It's only just out - phones are always expensive the first month or two. Wait and you'll see it come down in price on all the networks no doubt.

Would love to know that myself; unfortunately my friend is one of the technologically-challenged chaps and also -well, you know those types who reply a week or two later, even though you've watched this forum blow by blow every day just for him?

Sigh. Let's all not hold our breaths together :-)

It says on the o2 website that you can get up to 60 euro off a phone when you upgrade. Are'nt you getting something like 400 euro off this phone if you get the diamond upgrade? Sorry I am probably missing something here, I do not know much about bill phones.

That's a further, different, extra and as well 60€ off the discounted price as a reward for buying online.

The figure of €5,000 is correct... I confirmed this with O2 earlier this morning.

Yikes, that's a lot. I think I managed about €2,500 a year in the past, but can't imagine going all the way to €5,000!
