Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have a little saved and am going to add 2 more gigs of ram to the pc as its only €140 for 2 gigs of PC8500 thats a 100 less for what I paid for it originally :)

So my question is.. Im on vista home premium now.. 32bit, Im going to need 64bit OS

Should I go for vista or XP? I would rather XP but like ill have to upgrade to vista anyway for all the new games..

Also I cant seem to find 64bit xp? Well its not on overclockers anyway...

    Is it windows XP professional?

    Thanks :)

    Daz

Maybe because 64 bit XP was pretty crap, at least in terms of there not being many 64 bits apps, especially games.

Yea if I bought 64bit home premium... Would it mean i may have problems with games or they just wont work?

my friend games on 64bit vista, the only thing you'll have to look out for it DRIVERS arghhh

Yeah, you will just be waiting for driver updates and fixes. I installed it there and was a little underwhelmed, also things like Intel TAT don't run on 64 bit.

DeafVision ff you think Vista isn't well supported then going XP 64-bit is like out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Not a good idea and don't waste your money on a 4Gb RAM system under XP just isn't worth it unless you have very specific applications that use the RAM.

The nice thing about Vista is that it has an aggressive cache system so all that RAM under Vista 64-bit at least gets used to well effect but compatibility issues are still present with apps/drivers so unless you like living on the edge then stick with 32-bit.

Yea but its €140 which is great value! The more the better I think :)

Also I just check a few for drivers for main parts in my computer most of them have 64bit drivers
