sporty car >€10K~Suggestions wanted

I am considering changing my daily driver from a classic (72 scimitar) to a more modern car -post 95. I'm looking for something unusual and stylish under €10K and 2 litre or under. My pick at the moment is a 97 fiat coupe 20v Turbo.Other cars I've considered have been smart roadster coupe,BMW Z3 coupe (both too dear) kit cars in general (can't get anything but limited mileage insurance). I don't like modified jap cars either.
I read of the delfino project recently and that seems perfect except they're new and hence out of my price range. They plan on building a car using their own sports car body and subaru imprezza running gear. Anyone know of any similar cars from the past decade?

The one downside of the Fiat Coupe Turbo is the expensive servicing costs. Afaik a timing belt change means the engine has to come out.

The Delfino Ferochi idea has been around for around 5 years now. Don't know if they've ever managed to actually build one.

I'll second the GTV. Not as unusual as a Coupe Turbo, but oodles of style you'll get

Get a good one from an enthousiast for well under your budget. The saving will go a long way towards maintenance over the next 3 or 4 years

My best mate has the 3.0. Fantastic car. He doesn't do any work on it himself and spends a good bit of money, but it's a true sports car for what still is a very reasonable budget to keep it going

Mmmm... I'd be another GTV fan, friend has the same one (2.0 t-spark) and it's a cracking drive, so comfortable and bags of style. They might be getting cheaper too with the new one starting to appear...
