Low Protein Diet Recipes for PKU sufferers

    I just moved into a new house and found that 2 of the people I am living with (brothers) have PKU (Phenylketonuria). PKU is a inherited genetic condition inability to break down excess amounts of the amino acid phenylalanine (Phe).
    Long story short they cant eat protein in anything than very small quantities.

    Anyone know where I can find some low protein diet recipes?

    btw, I already know about PKU.com, ntxPKU.org and PKUexchange.co.uk but I was hoping for something better as they seem to have very basic and non original.

    Hi

    I cook pku meals every day for my daughter and niece
    lots of veg stir fry, or plain old mash potatoe and veg
    every pku person has diffrent taste and favourite foods

    My cousin has PKU, if she's over in my house I cook currys, pasta bakes with veg and low protein pasta, I do a type of potato gratin using veg slices mixed with potato, lots of garlic, then baked. Anything I can throw in the oven really while we'd watch a DVD :p
