It's a basement so line of sight stuff just isn't going to work

    O2 PCMCIA data card works.
Does this mean the 3G card and vodafone cards should work too ?

could you use another providers data card or does anyone know if it comes with a bigger external antenna.

By any chance do any of these work with windows 98 (don't ask )

how do they compare to USB devices - signal strength wise

also this will probably get moved between computers ( easier to carry a card home than a full computer ) any gotchas with that ?

Perlico are supposed to be releasing some sort of wireless service on Monday - is that just an ASDL with WiFi ?

An external linksys or netgear PCMCIA router (like the ADSL /WAN models, except has a PCMCIA slot) will work for Win98 as you will only see the ethernet.

means it can be placed for better signal.

The SIM ins in card not PC so easy to move between computers.

Perlico arn't a real ISP. They are just an eircom reseller. They may resell Vodaphone or O2, possibly MVNO
