Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok So I am just back from PC World (Shh:p ) with a new Linksys router. Not a modem.
The last 2 I have had was both a modem/router so I didnt realise that this was any differnt...
1 of which doesnt have wireless, bog standard from eircom [Netopia Cayman 3341]
The 2nd is a belkin wireless one that takes for ever to issue IP's and work if it even does it.

So since I am modem less and cant quite take another trip to PC world or a shop of the like:
Can I turn 1 of the modem/routers into jsut a modem so I could connect it to the Linksys wireless router and be happy?

If the older modem/router supports bridging it may achieve what you want.

How would I find this out? If i right click the connection in windows and it says "bridge connection" does that count?

This is a guide from the Smart telecom forums, but it's not Smart specific, but it should give you an idea of the things you're looking for.
