Dreambox and feeds

I've recently set up a Dreambox 7025 with an 80 cm motorised dish. The box is excellent for picking up regular TV broadcasts on the various satellites available to me but doesn't seem to be able to see Feeds that have a low Symbol Rate. Does anyone else here have the same problem and any solutions to it?

On sat-industry.net they deal with this issue a lot, try having a gander there. Also the LOW SR issue has been around for yonks with dreamboxes. My 5620 has it, some people sugest replacing two capacitors and this has helped.

However low SR & 7/8 FEC will often require more signal. Also often feeds are transmitted at lower power. Some feeds will need a bigger dish.

As SR drops and as FEC goes from 1/2 --> 7/8 more signal is needed to get the same BER.

I have the 7020 with a 1m dish and I find it hard to lock on to weak signals. Much more so than the Humax I had previously.

I think the Dreambox is a great receiver with all the features but there are niggles. I have great hope for the next HD Dreambox being the king of all receivers.
