Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Irish Players going well in the 10K Omaha Event

    WSOP Event 49, 10K PLO: Roy Brindley is 5th, and Sylvester Geoghegan (owner of the Crane Club in Mullingar, and another casino in Galway) is 16th, with 55 left and ~30 getting paid. I also see a "Donn O Dea" and "David Callaghan" still in, both getting a bit shortstacked.

    Edit: But it also says that Donnacha O Dea is out, so Donn O Dea must be a different person altogether.

    Roundtower threw up a very brief snippet of his involvement on 2 + 2:

    2 Max Pescatori, replaced by I think a fish
    3 Tom Hanlon, replaced by David Benyamine
    4 Terence Chan (I think this is his name, is he 2+2?)
    5 some tight young guy
    6 Padraig Parkinson, replaced by Scandi guy
    7 fish
    8 Steve Zolotow
    9 various

    I run up a big stack of 54k by the time we get to 200-400. Then I bluff off 23k with a set on a 3 flush board to the latest resident of trap 9. Then during 300-600 I run AsA6s8 into trap 6's AhATh5 for a 52k pot, we both make 2 pair and I'm gone.

    From that and the pokernews reports it seems that the field was mostly filled with name pros and known faces. Whether they are any good at Omaha or not I don't know.

    Andy Black Eliminated; Almost Comes to Blows

    Andy Black was all in with a short stack. Huckleberry Seed called.

    Black: {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
    Seed: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

    The flop was {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and the river was {2-Diamonds}. Seed won with a nut flush. Black was busted by Seed. Before he left the table, Davood Mehrmand taunted Black and said, "See you later."

    Black and Mehrmand had been jawing over the last two hours and the they almost came to blows. The floor had to be called over to calm Black down. At one point he had his arm cocked back, ready to drop Davood Mehrmand.

    UGH

    Kristian Kjondal pushed with a short stack and Roy Brindley called.

    Brindley: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
    Kjondal: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

    The flop was {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Kjondal took the lead. The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Kjonal picked up a full house. The river was the {8-Clubs}. Kristian Kjondal doubled up to 120K, while Brindley slipped to 242K.

    that means David would have won with KQQJJ, v KQQ77, they must have mixed the hands up.
