3 data modem and xbox live

does anyone know a way to play on xbox live with a 3 data modem I'm not that well technically minded but i do know there is an Ethernet port on my motherboard so i can hook it up when i tried to start live it could not find the I.P address anybody got a suggestion?

You couldn't use it for online gaming like Gears of War or Forza 2. You could download demos and the like with it assuming you have the speed available to you.

The 3 modem is installed as a modem so it might not be possible for Xbox Live to use it as it requires broadband and I don't know how well it would play with Internet Connection Sharing in windows. I think that's the only way it'd work.
