Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

does anyone know (apart from acer) where i could get a copy of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 for an acer aspire 5051 AWXMi

it came pre-installed on the laptop, but was completely removed soon after.

    I own an Acer laptop.

Acer laptops come with a hidden partition. Usually the restore feature grabs it from that. I know that Acer also provide media.

When you say 'removed', was it just a simple format of the Windows partition, or something more umm.. permanent like the use of Dban or similar (multiple overwrites).

Anyway, just thought I'd give you a heads up on the hidden partition, you might be able to rescue Data from that, with the right tools.

Acer, up to a year or so ago, were using a very old, crippled version of Symantec Ghost to retrieve the data and re-image their laptops.
