Was driving down the road yesterday, I heard a strange clank and the clutch shot up higher the usual, an other way of saying it is that if i put my foot on the clutch my knee is now up at the steering wheel. The car is still drivable (ie the clutch is still transmitting all power from the engine to the wheels)
but i dont know for how long.

Has anyone ever heard about this one. I think it might be a broken spring or something.

Sounds like the return spring has gone or become detached.
