Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi,
I just signed up for a bill phone with O2 and was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions(my number is currently being ported so I cant log on to my O2 online yet to find the answers)

-First up, anyone know what the deal is with internet costs on bill pay? Does it get taken from my free minutes or am I charged by the Kb regardless as you are on pay as you go.
-I was given 2 sim cards with the phone (Nokia 6300). One is 3G but when I use it it says 'failed to register sim'
-why cant i use a simcard from another network in my new phone? I was under the impression that bill phones were sim free...
and last but not least, on my receipt it says "nokia 6300 + free bluetooth headset", no bluetooth headset came with the phone, do I have to apply for it or something?

sorryfor all the questions, any help would be much appreciated.
    cheers
    :D

you are charged 1c per kb 'i think' unless you get a data add-on ( 25mb for EUR10 and stuff )

registration error may be due to the sim not being activated yet.

They are not sold sim-free usually, however since you are on a 12-month contract, networks are obliged to provide the unlock code since you are contracted and they have a guranteed minimum spend from you, might want to double check

As for the headset, it should normally be provided with the phone at POS. go back to the store and bring it to their attention. I got my 6300 from Vodafone and got a headset with the phone

Internet is 1c per KB, which is not exactly cheap and Internet roaming with O2 is a ridiculous price, it is cheaper in Sri Lanka than in Newry!
