Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Any games in the series headin towards the 360 does anyone know? Or any games in that genre? KInda future racing type things!

    Well seeing that Sony owns the studio that makes Wipeout, I doubt i you will see it on an xbox any time soon.

    Bah! Damn them!

    I've heard Fatal Inertia is coming to the 360 tho, which should be good, although i heard the game was very slow (as in the vehicles move slow)

    Fatal Inertia was PS3 only the last I heard of it. But Sony have lost the exclusivity for that too.

    The next WipEout for the PS3 is, apparently (according to a 1up podcast IIRC), only gonna be a high definition makeover to tide us over until a proper sequel is ready. Sorta like Gran Turismo HD.

    Ahh, WipEout, if done right (unlike Fusion) would be the game that makes me want to buy a PS3.

    Seeing as I'm just after going all 'current gen' and getting a Xbox 360, I really hope Fatal Inertia turns out to be something great.

    I'm sure that sony now have a crontrolling share in psygnosis since Wipeout 64 came out so probably not. Best bet might be a new F-zero on the Wii if you have one, it's always been better than Wipeout and the best alternative.

    Psygnosis is no more... it's Sony Studio Liverpool now.

    Not the same thing. I'm a disciple of WipEout (you godless F-zero heathen! :p). But I suppose if all you have is a Wii then your choice is limited.

    It's the old strokes-folks/horses-courses chestnut. :D

    Me too, got 2097 bundled with my first Playstation... along with a link-up cable.

    There was a great Wipeout style game for original XBOX called Quantum Redshift by ex-Psygnosis developers.
    It was ace but sold like crap and they disappeared. Its as rare as hen's teeth these days.

    I'm not saying wipeout is bad, absolutely loved 2097 and wip3out, but F-zero has always been a better game. X and GX were so much faster and required a lot more skill.
