Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    heyho all,

Mods feel free to move this....I think its ok here though.

I was in the market for an N95.

I walked into the vodafone store in blanch. Got some prices and asked about tariffs. The sales assistant said that she could only sell me the N95 on perfect fit 100 and NOT perfect fit 30. I queried more and she couldn't give a valid reason why. So I left it. I thought that this was very strange!!

Anyway, picked the phone up in carphonewarehouse later that evening on perfect fit 30.

A bit of a problem porting my number at the moment so it should get sorted tomorrow. But its ok, turns out the n95 I got was sim free so its happy with my 02 sim at the moment.

Just thought, I'd let you know that the vodafone store wouldn't allow me to pick the tariff I wanted.

    Thanks,
    spanner_head

This is beacause they lose too much money over the 12 months of the contract as your on such a low price plan

Surely it's not company policy to refuse a connection because the price plan is too low?

when i used to work for the company, the info what she was telling you is quite correct. although i did think they changed it, allowing you to buy a 3g phone on pf 30 plan.

i think its to do with the subsidation they do on the phones, and they see a punter on pf30, & make feck all gross margin off. hopes this makes some sense to you....
