Longest Roadworks ever! Strandhill Road

Hi there I'm new here! Can anyone tell me if they ever seen roadworks last as long as what is going on between the 1st and 2nd Sea Road junctions on the Stranhill Road? At this stage it is comical the capers of these contractors/workmen! I would appreciate your views! JayKay

These roadworks are redicilious, I havn't been on boards.ie in a while so I didnt know it had closed.
Some warning would have been much appreciated by motorists.

The road was eventually re-opened on Friday afternoon.. got a taxi into town on Friday night & the taximan's first words were "I see the Berlin wall's come down at last".
