Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just replaced knackered philips drive

    With a new Samsung 605.

    Was quite excited when it arrived this morning.

    However, I'm not very happy with this drive.

    I went out and bought 3 different types of -r & -rw including TDK which are supposed to be compatible according to other xbox users and not even a sniff of attempting to start. Always comes up "unknown" and that mostly happens when I eject the disk after it has been checking for 5 minutes. No "empty" results at all which I find strange.
    The tray has also stuck about 5-6 times and it's brand new. Not playing commercial DVD as well makes me think that this is a bit of a lemon. I had better results with the philips.
    I thinking of asking for a replacement.

    What do you think? A lemon? Ask for a replacement?

    Got a replacement on Monday from Consolewerks and have been testing it for the last couple of days.
    It's running great! :D

    And they even refunded the postage costs for returning it.
    Highly recommended. :cool:
