    First hello everybody !

I'm a french sheep (with a bad english level) and I'm here (in Santry) until end of august.
Dublin is a good city but not very nice for a trek (it's very hard to find a sheep in middle of O'conneil street).
Anyway I would like to know which area is good to visit near dublin. I already visit Howth, Wicklow co. (sally Gap, glendalough...), Trim, seven wonder of Fore, and I went to dundalk for a funny trek in mountain (where I found many dead sheep). I have my own car so I can travel a little (I already visit West of Ireland last year).
so if you have any idea (and if there is lot of sheep it's better) just tell me !
    have a nice night !

    Sheep. ;)

    petit_mouton ;) :

You should try visiting Newgrange - an ancient burial mound near Drogheda. They have sheep there too.

Or you could take a ferry trip to Holyhead - there are LOTS of sheep in Wales.

    Bon chance!

Better to go to New Zealand, loads of sheep there, some goats too. Bring the wellies.

I wonder who killed those Dundalk sheep. May they rest in fleece.

There was a French School Tour visiting Maeve's Gap. They killed them all in 1 afternoon* :( We'd only just got the population back on an even keel after the Foot & Mouth too.

OP, Clonmacnoise is gorgeous. Take a trip there, it's beside Athlone.

sally gap is a must and there are dozens of walks to do around there (sheep come and go, buut there are a good few of them).

lough dan and lough tay are a must. no sheep but hundreds of deer and rabbits.

powerscourt gardens are a must too. no sheep

climb up the top of sugarloaf. sheep can be seen in the distance

You should visit Fairview as soon as possible. I live there, it's great!
