Does vbulletin allow a drop down for Location with all 32 counties when you first register? This will make you have to choose a location from the list. And add option "Outside Ireland".

Then when/if you subscribe you can specify or write something witty, like it is now - Behind you / Up your Ma / France / ...

Well mine says Galway "Location: In a SIGPO squad car in Galway"
Yours says "Location: d-_-b" I assume that's Dublin?

    We're subscribers so that's ok.

Given that Ireland only accounts for 50.5%* of our traffic, I don't think this is wise step: nc108.png

Aside from that, I don't see the point in doing it, and don't think it's a vB option anyway.

Hey, why don't we make posting a subscriber privelage while we're at it?

I think you'll find it's more like looking into a mirror while holding another mirror. There are an infinite number of rods up an infinite number of asses.

Hey, why don't we make posting a subscriber privelage while we're at it?

Because it turns out that there's a really weird bug in the access masks code of boards that you can't do this with a "non default" group in an easy manner without hiking up your support costs more than boards can handle right now. Makes sense I guess, that wasn't quite how vbulletin was designed unless you were running "private" forums.

Anyway, we're hoping this will be fixed in a future release of vBulletin, probably around September based on our discussions with the jelsoft folks (in time for when the students will have their grants and a bit of disposable income).

Maybe you should change it to something witty since you're paying for the privilege.

I once saw a mirror thing that did that with a single ladder rung, and made it look like an infinite tunnel. So would this be similar to looking down an infinitely deep brown hole, with an infinitely long rod down the centre?

Much like a brown firemans pole?

Why are you trying to discriminate against quadrature phase?
