Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ask for a discount on the suit I'm buying?

    Hey

I was wondering what you guys think of this...

I'm thinking of buying a suit for 550 (reduced from 600), and possibly a shirt for about 120 and a tie for 75. So about 800 in total.

It's possible I might just buy the suit...

My question is: is it normal to ask for a discount? Or would that be weird?

Why not? Give it a lash and ask them what they can do for you if you take the whole lot. The worst they can say is "No, sorry, that's the price".

Yup - why not! Try getting the shirt thrown in first and then chance it with the tie.. or vice versa to suit your preference..

I've no doubt you'll strike a deal with them.. after all, you, "really like the suit, and would hate to take the business elsewhere"..

i think they usually throw in a pair of socks or something if you spend alot, but no harm in asking for a discount i guess.

You can buy the suit and say that you want the shirt thrown in?

Ask for a discount and if he doesn't give you one just say, 'ah go on, throw in the shirt'.

I work in a shop in City Centre....people try this all the time. We CAN give discounts. But usually the people who try it are buying the really cheap suits?!
