Which Monitor?

I'm building a new uber gaming PC and I need a new monitor. I currently have an old Dell 20" Ultrasharp flat panel monitor capable of 1600x1200. I'm looking to buy a new widescreen LCD.

My ultimate choice would be this one: Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24" Widescreen LCD as it's a S-IPS panel, unfortunately it's too big for the area I have.

So I have 3 choices:
22 incher's
Samsung SM-226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Glossy Black
LG L226WTQ 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver

The above panels are non S-IPS panels and have a resolution of 1650x 1080

20 inch:
Dell Ultrasharp 2007FP 20.1" Performance LCD Monitor - Midnight Grey

This is a S-IPS panel and has the same resolution. My only reservation with this one is that I could be losing a lot of vertical height which might be annoying.

What do people think?

The Samsung is a great looking screen. Really will look nice on your desk - you're paying for that prettiness though. The LG is cheaper and at least as good if not as good looking.

For gaming and most general desktop things TN panels are just fine, you only really need S-IPS for photo editing and anything where perfect colour reproduction is needed.
