    Hi Ned,
    another q for you...
    Awhile back, one of the posters was in the market for a MINI, and yerself and (i think) herself were having some exchanges re option packs etc. Somewhere during the posts, you mentioned the model designations for both the original (new) MINI and the recently launched series 2. Am i dreaming, or were the model designations something like 52 and 62?

    Reason is, i saw an 04 Coopers S the other day, with the reg 04-D-52, tho the '5' was typefaced to look like an 'S'

    Howdy! Here are the internal names for the MINIs :

    R50 : MINI One, One Diesel, and Cooper.
    R52 : All MINI Convertibles.
    R53 : MINI Cooper S.
    R55 : Upcoming MINI Clubman.
    R56 : All new MINI Hatchbacks.
    R57 : All new MINI Cabriolets.
    R58 : Something or other not confirmed yet.
    R60 : Top secret project at the moment.

    go on, tell me it's a good looking 4 door... cos the clubman is a mess IMO!

    I'm sure I'll find out anyway, I do a bit of work with them...

    Actually Steve, that was one of the 4 concept cars for the Clubman, it has little to do with the R60.

    Mmmm some interesting stuff there..

    And the Cooper S i saw wasnt a convertible, just thought it would have been one of those apt no. plates.

    Is the Colorado concept kinda like the 2CV Rallye (Dakar versions) ?
