I'm off on the Trans Siberian Express this August, travelling in Russia, Mongolia and China.

I've heard that you've to be very careful of all your stuff whilst in these countries. I heard someone recommend wearing a non branded day pack while sightseeing and that. The daypack I'm planning to bring is a North Face daypack. Here's where your advice comes in, should I just use it or should I get a non branded one?

The bag doesn't mean a lot to me but I'm just worried about the hassle if I got robbed and if the chances of being robbed were upped by wearing a branded daypack I'd buy a non branded one.
