Woke up the other morning to let in one of our cats only
to find some shivering cold and starving kittens:
    newbies.jpg.jpg

That brings is up to a grand total of us feeding 13 Cats!
The neigbours must be going nuts when they see them running through the
gardens. We nearly had them all neutred we just could not get one female
the source of most of them and one feral male done. We have all the females
in the neigbourhood neutred except that last wild one. (And paid 70 fekin Euros
each time they have us robbed)

There probably about 10 weeks old as they have lost the blue from their eyes
and their tails are starting to loose the short dagger look and starting to grow long.

Have some of the previous recues here:

They look adorable! Especially the chap with the long fur!

Fair play to you on neutering the females in your area - at least that will help cut the feral cat population down :D

Yeah the Long haired one is the most forward and have managed
to pick him/her up tonight. The mother is a feral cat who produced
a few litters in the neighbourhood. She had two other Long haired
ones last batch which are part of our house cats now.
SHe knows that we are suckers and put the kittens outside our
back door on purpose. Weird both mother and father are short haired.
The father is one of the last males that has not got the chop and is a battle scared un-tame-able (have been trying to tame it for 2 years and its the only cat we have not been able to tame ever.)

I reckon we need to try get a cat trap to get the Mammy Done.
Only thing is the Vets always want to keep the cats indoors for a few
days after the operation when it comes to the females and I cant to that
with the other house cats. And its a total nightmare trying to have to bring
the cat back to get stitches out especially when we don't drive so lack transport! The vets also don't seem to use dissolvable stitches

I am more concerned with getting the females done.

The Father is SOoo Feral we have had to see him loose its vision
as both eyes got cut and infected. One is sightless and the other is partial vision. He still manages to travel a LONG distance about the neighbourhood and still manages to climb trees. He just has a hard time recognzing food dish,
his sons or daughters or more or less anything else a few feet from his face.
(Which can be funny seeing his antics)

As far as I can tell there is one other male (with a broken paw) that
may be breeding. It looks like it got the chop as his manshood it pretty
shrivilled up and small. Feel for him as he's been limping for two months
and we cant bring him indoors as hes wild and smelly and sprays everywhere
when we try. (and again theres other indoor cats)

With all the cats we feed one major worry for me is that someday a neigbour may
get really pissed off one of the days with the volume of cats and start
to put our poison or something. I can hear them getting shooowd every so often.

Tis not easy when you have a lot of cats hanging around.

As for the cat traps have you posted on petsireland? You may find a rescue group near to you will help with trapping & neutering etc. You may need to pay a deposit & a small donation is always welcomed etc but they should also be able to help with cheeper spays & neuters etc.

Let us know how you get on :D

Girlfriend (houndsoflove) should be able to get one.
Problem with the Welfare places is that quite often they are so
overwhelmed that ya cant get through to them on the phone.

Was gonna call her Kittler! The older Moustach on
my pics in photobucket went missing for a few days
dureng the year and came back all thin with its paw mangaled
crushed and hanging off. It was like she was trapped someplace
for days and she chewed her paw off to get away.
After surgery and LOTS of return visits to the vet she lost all her toes.
We were worried for a while as infection was spreading and a bony
stump was sticking out so needed Lots of TLC and constant watching.
She was not able to use the litter tray so kept using corners in our
    kitchen which was not pleasent!
During the time when she had her bandage on she kept waving
the hand and it looked like a zig hail salute.
(She get around fine now sometime she limps a bit)

Speaking of Cats with moustach like Hitlers......
