Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys,

    Just wondering would anybody know if you can get charged tax on buying from this site or do they put it down as a gift?!?!

    Interested on getting a N95 from it!

    There are expansys in Ireland

    http://www.expansys.ie

    I would presume when you try and pay / register and put a shipping address in Ireland they will auto direct you to the Irish site.

    Where it will cost 730 euro not the 560 it would do if bought on the us site.

    Sry to break the bad news,

    Inqui

    It's not bad news,I'm very aware of the relation between the two websites! Anyone buying a phone is more than likely going to try expansys first and then look outside of it when they see the price! However,when you go to checkout on mobileplanet it allows you to ship to europe! Hence why I asked the above question!!!

    @kmart6

    Poor ole Laois were battered today :(

    Anyway, to answer your question, even if they mark it as a gift, it doesnt always work. I have had items shipped from China and the US marked as "gifts" and if the customs decide to check it, you will still be charged VAT and excise etc. Its worth asking them, but just to let you know, its not infallible

    Yes you are right.The package might come cheap from abroad but the buyer will be forced to pay tax it is seen by customs,so it wont be cheap anymore :)

    Well the big difference between the American (MobilePlanet) and ROTW (Expansys) is that the Americans get the cools stuff first.... notice that the new samsung umpc and Eten X500+ are already available.
