    Just thought id give a little plug (hope thats ok mods!) for the resistance festival happening this Saturday (21st) in Riddlers starting at 1. Its not often that people in Limerick get an oppotunity to get together and discuss topical issues and this festival is the first of its kind in years in the treaty city.
    Theres also going to be a youth gig from 6 onwards with loads of up and coming Limerick bands.
    So If you fancy a day of insightful debtae and good toons with lots of freindly Limerick people then come to Riddlers this Saturday at 1!

    p.s can someone confirm is it true that Che guevara spent a night in Hanrattys hotel?!

    I believe he did, he stopped over in Shannon on his way either to or from Moscow and stayed at Hanrattys.

    There was a piece of artwork placed at Hanrattys to comemorate the fact.

    The archives of the Limerick Chronicle have a story on his time in Limerick
