Are there any Airsofters (if there is such a word) in Cork or Munster.

I've started getting ito Airsoft recently and got my first gun in Mad on North Main St. They have a good selection of guns with prices to suit most budgets. I picked up a CM.020 and I'm pretty happy with it!

    Maddd shop...Boo! Hiss!

    1. They stock crap aeg's.
    2. They charge double what they should for this crap.
    3. They don't care who they sell to.

The serious problem with skirmishing in a wood like that is you run the risk of being spotted by a member of the public and suddenly having the ERU show up. From the point of view of Airsoft as a new sport in Ireland an incident or two like this could be the nail in the coffin when politicians and the media spin it for their own means.

Be patient there are alot of paintball site owners looking at getting into Airsoft and there is one around Limerick very interested apparently. If there any paintball sites around Cork it would be worth your while giving them a call as well to see if they are planning on embracing Airsoft as well.

Tell me more!!!! I was just thinking the other day would the one near
Limerick allow or organise a airsoft day. I know the Lad that runs it to
say "hi to" so next time I see him I must ask him about it. I think
they may have an office close to where I work so If I spot it
I will call in and ask.

I have never went paintballing before but the lads in work have lots of times
and they kinda got bored of it and it was expensive.

If some of the Dublin HRTA or experianced Airsofteres came down on
an organized day and trained staff up on missions and how it generally
worked it may kick start something. Dunno how sucessful it would be
if an airsoft place just opened and did not know about tactics or realistic
simulations as it may resort to just running around aimlessly shooting at
    each other.

Any more mention of skirmishing on public land will get you a hefty ban. Doing so may get you a cell in a Garda station and maybe even a few bullet wounds too.

It's really serious. If you do it, don't be surprised if you're ostracized from any airsoft communities. Airsofters who are safe and go to an effort to play on legal private insured sites have no time for people who act as stupid as that.
