Not too impressed by the tracklist. Paint it Black is a highlight though.

Rock Band's tracklist has me more excited though.

Never was a big GnR fan.
RB has Repitlia and playing the bridge in that will make me much happier than Welcome to The Jungle anyday.

Not much different from the one a couple of weeks ago...
But still.. Weezer, Beastie Boys and Smashing Pumpkins is hardly a disapointing list.

    http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net

You can use the guitar hero guitar and make your own tracks or download other peoples 8).

You can also play it with a keyboard.

I like it because I've never been bothered to get into Guitar Hero. You can import the tracks from guitar hero into frets on fire if you have the game and everything. Its really good.

Now i love frets on fire as much as the next guy, but guitar heros production values make it better than frets on fire.

The little things, like the star meter and the whole band/crowd feedback to how well you're playing. I know they are little things, but they help add to the illusion that you're the rock star.
Frets on Fire is more like praticing on your own in your bedroom.

And the importing is pretty hit & miss i find.

Still, everyone should at least try it, because for what it is, Frets on Fire is amazing. It's just not as good as GH.

Maybe, I might buy it for 360, I was thinking of it because of how cool it looked in the Live Centre and because of how much fun I had with Frets on Fire.

I think Frets on Fire is great and since I play it in my bedroom maybe that's hwy I don't get the whole its like playing in your bedroom problem. Its just supposed to be fun.

I think at worst, Frets on Fire is a good demo to see if you'd like Guitar Hero.

Well nobody dreams of just playing guitar in their room, they dream of rocking out infront of a crowd of people, which was what i was trying to get at.
GH is better at creating the rock star illusion than FoF.

But you are right, if you're unsure if you'd like GH, Frets on Fire is probably a free and easy way of seeing if you'd like it.
And even though the import feature isn't as good as i'd like, trying to play Daft Punks aerodynamic with FoF is the closest i've come to doing myself serious injury through a videogame.

Damn you, i'm gonna try it again when i get home.

They've done it. Sweet lord, they've done it!

Dragonforce are on the setlist "Through the Fire and Flames" and it's a master track. GHIII just got ALOT more interesting.

Speaking of that sh*t, i just saw the price tag for GH80s in Gamestop yesterday , 40 quid?? For 30 songs?? Even the singstar series for the disk alone is only 32 quid! I uh, think i will be finding alternative ways to get my hands on this one. No bloody way does a glorified expansion deserve that price tag! :(

    VR!
