I believe the newbie thread and the Legality Sticky might be able to help you.

Or just a "no" would suffice. Common sense is a plus though.

Yeah looking at it today but fought the temptation as I just
ordered the SCAR and AK47 last night. I would have dropped the AK47
and bought the M16 SPR instead. But even from my very first AEG
I have been saying I was gonna buy the AK over and over again
but I kept putting it off.

    Pretty much yeah...its adjustable.

I don't think it was a boards.ie user. In fact, judging by the emails he sent me inquiring about the differences between that and the G-Spec, I don't think he was even a skirmisher :)

Anyway...there's more inbound. They're gorgeous rifles.

If its got a nipple/front stud and you want a great bi-pod
ya might as well buy a real Harris Bi-pod. You may be able
to get one 2nd hand cos they can be 100 Euro Plus new!

has anyone used the Falan Low profile Goggles from eirsoft. Do they tend to fog up much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,877 ✭✭✭liamo333

Like most goggles they fog up but I'm happy with mine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,169 ✭✭✭✭ED E

The anti-fog stuff supposedly works if you leave it on for 30 mins then wipe it off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,877 ✭✭✭liamo333

    Cat crap?

Someone else posted about Cat Crap awhile back (Falls, I think ? ) so I decided to try it...used it 3 times...once was perfect, all day long, once was absolute crap (excuse the pun) and they fogged up within 20 minutes, and the third time it was so-so.

Like most of the anti-fog solutions, I think an awful lot depends on the conditions and your own body temp, tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

I use the Falan ones and find them very good, fog up every now and then but they are not the worst. The ones I got from ehobby were very bad for fogging up (basically nearly unusable).

    LOL...mmmmm...finger lickin' good :D

yep it was me...the trick with cat crap (THE PRODUCT, which obviously has a very bad marketing department) is to wipe it on and let it dry. i tried real cat crap...doesnt work at all...LOL!!!

if you dont let it dry its not good at all..and like you shiva i have had good and bad luck. ive had days where its really excellent and then a day when it isnt.

you still need some ventilation in your goggles...if you aint got that you are in trouble. KD swears by the thermal ones and as it happens i have found blackhawk industries sells ones that are thermal goggles for troops. thats black hawk of the famous black hawk vests, equipment etc...

i tried to get the ones KD was talking but i cant seem to find just the goggles...it seems to be with a face mask and i dont want one of them.

edit: you do need to reapply it. your goggles need to be dry, wipe it on in a thin film, let it dry and then wipe it off...
