Funny Bird in Templeogue

    Does anyone know whats the story with that bird that stands on the roof of the first house closest to the hardware shop in Templeogue?
    Anyone know what kind of bird is it? It's white, long legs and long beak.
    I tought it was a statue until one morning i seen it move.

    Its a crazy looking thing and its weird that it hangs around that house.

    probably a heron one used to live in the dodder close to templeogue bridge used to always see it while on the bus but dont use the bus as much as i used so dont know if its still around would assume it is if u have been spotting it

    That would be a heron. There are several that lurk along the dodder

    Yea a heron I'd guess, one live's in a river near my house, lovely looking bird makes a change from the magpies

    It actually looks more like a Egret than a Heron from the above pictures. It has a more upright stance

    It was on the roof of the chinese when i passed this evening
