Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

(Sorry didnt know where to post this)

My cousin is moving here from the USA next year and is interested in pursuing a career as a make up artist or esthetician (beauty therapist etc.)
She has obtained an esthetician qualification from an American college
but does not have any previous work experience in this area.

I would really appreciate if anyone could offer me
    any advice on the following:

    * What qualifications / requirements would she need to get a job
as a make up artist /beauty therapist etc. here?

    * What is an average salary / potential in this line of work?

I would be very grateful for any advice or help offered,
    feel free to PM me.

    many thanks

For beauty therapy, I think CIBTAC www.cibtac.com and CIDESCO www.cidesco.com are the qualifications used here, but I'm really not too sure. Make up artistry would be different. It's probably more about skill.
This kinda course would be good: http://www.scd.ie/make-up.htm.
I think Crumlin College also have one.
You could get experience working for a make up counter in a department store.
    HTH
