Broken Window

Just had my car broken into and the fly window got smashed. I though I could fix it myself but I can't seem to get the new glass into the frame. It's a 96 Golf. I thought I might be able to do it without removing the main window but even if I do I can't see how I can then get both windows back in. Anyone out there have experience with this model? Help please!

Are you sure it's not covered under your insurance?
