Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Full details here on the BBC website.

Sounds good. According to the report, when the EU backed the GSM standard, it took off quite rapidly, let's hope the same thing happens to DVB-H.

Well a universal standard will definitely help with the technology.

It's only universal in Europe, by the looks of it. But I suppose we could do the American thing and pretend there is nothing outside Europe. :D

any idea if the operators are likely to screw consumers for dvb-h like they've done for 3g.

interesting to know what their pricing is likely to be given that it's not data-based (it's purely broadcast based isn't it btw).

Of course they will, but only in Ireland.

It will probably be similar to a cut-down Sky subscription, with various packages available.

That works fine for me. :p Hopefully the rest of the world adopts this standard as well.
